Are chiropractic adjustments safe?
Chiropractic adjustments are one of the safest drug-free, noninvasive methods for the treatment of symptoms associated with bone, muscle, and nerve complaints. Just like all other forms of health care, there is a slight risk of adverse effects. Those adverse effects after chiropractic adjustments usually are nothing more than muscle and joint soreness or stiffness one would experience after working out.
Is chiropractic care uncomfortable?
Chiropractic care is usually pain free, unless the patient was previously in acute pain prior to visit. In that case, we perform very light and conservative care to help that patient experience a decrease in pain as fast as possible. Some patients become slightly uncomfortable due to being in new positions they aren’t familiar with, but that rarely causes an increase in pain or symptoms.
How many visits will I need?
This is solely dependent on each individual case. Many factors go into determining how many visits you’ll need. Some of those factors include, what type of symptoms/conditions are present, physical activity level, occupation, and how long the condition has been effecting the patient. If a condition has been present for many years, one adjustment will not be able to overcome the years of wear and tear on the body. We will make the best recommendation for your condition. It is up to you, as to how quickly you want to become and stay pain free.
Why should a newborn get examined?
The birthing process is very stressful and tiresome for mom but, newborns go through trauma as well when entering this world. Whether it is natural delivery or cesarean section, the new born is pushed and pulled through canals, placing a lot of stress in very important areas of the spine. Making sure the newborns nervous system is working properly at a very young age can help reduce the chances of ear infections, constipation, reflux, colic, and so many other avoidable conditions.
